Every new hero has a random name. By default the following names are used:

Changing names
If you grow tired of seeing the same heroes and heroines names over and over, you can change them in two text files located in %Program Files%\Steam\SteamApps\common\Rogue Legacy\Content\. Note that names longer than 8 characters will be truncated and special characters are not supported.
The files are named:
- HeroNames.txt (for male names)
- HeroineNames.txt (for female names)
